We are currently able to offer one to one adult Art Therapy in our Private Practice as well as a supplier through different organisations. To see who we are currently working with click here. All sessions are currently happening in a remote capacity - this means over the phone or via a video link which means support is still possible and safe. An initial consultation meeting will be needed before committing to ongoing sessions. To make contact and talk about your options go here.
Art Therapy is a form of talking therapy which uses art materials within the space to explore complex emotions and gain understanding and insight. This method can also be useful to address somatic concerns which may not been resolved by other approaches. The relationship with your therapist and the art created within the sessions are the key focus, and no artistic experience is required. This method can be especially useful with things that can be difficult to verbalise or discuss openly. Our Therapists are all registered with the Health Care Professionals Council as well as British Association of Art Therapists and have their own specialist areas.
Community Groups (on hold)
We currently run two different community group options for access for adult support. These groups are often free to access via other organisations and this is made possible due to grant funding having been given to run the provision so these groups are therefore time limited. These groups are aimed at those in the community looking for a space to meet others and try out a new creative expressive outlet for mental health support.
We have also run community art groups for the public which were in a pay by session basis. Unfortunately all group provision is on hold at the moment due to covid-19.
Practitioner Training and Support
Through our experience in arts in health fields we more than happy to share some of our experiences and knowledge with others. In a freelance capacity, we know that sometimes our continued professional development can be a focus or maybe your working team would benefit from something creative - fostering problem solving and self expression.
Some of our recent training sessions include:
'Bolstering Your Creative Practice' and 'Bid Writing and Project Funding (the basics)'.
These sessions are sometimes run in a public domain (currently via zoom) or are available to be delivered and/or discussed within corporate or work based environments to develop your team.
Please get in touch if you would like some bespoke training designed to meet your requirements for your working team.
